Position Title:
Assistant Manager – Sustainability, Health & Safety (Food Cluster)
Company: Plenty Foods (Pvt) Ltd
Location: Rathmalana / Kandy
Role Overview:
- Support the execution of sustainability initiatives aimed at promoting resource efficiency, waste minimization, and energy conservation
- Collaborate across teams to embed sustainability into manufacturing operations, the supply chain, and across the product lifecycle
- Monitor progress against sustainability benchmarks and prepare reports according to recognized frameworks (e.g., GRI)
- Lead and supervise Environmental, Safety & Health (ESH) programs, ensuring alignment with industry standards and corporate goals
- Coordinate with various departments to uphold environmental safety regulations and workplace health practices
- Conduct ESH audits, risk evaluations, and inspections across facilities
- Champion environmentally conscious practices such as green energy solutions, eco-product development, and waste reduction strategies
Candidate Profile:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, or Sustainability
- Professional certifications like NEBOSH, ISO 14001, or ISO 45001 will be considered an added asset
- 3–5 years of experience in sustainability, ESH, or environmental management, preferably within food manufacturing
- Demonstrated ability in leading sustainability projects and driving continuous improvements in ESH performance
